Meaningful connections for people with disabilities
The Tavon Center program fosters a sense of purpose and belonging in young adults with disabilities through gardening, community involvement, and skills that can be transfered to an employment setting. At our site in Issaquah, Wash., program participants tend five acres of accessible gardens, care for animals, and sell produce and eggs at local farmers’ markets.
Save the Date: Seventh Fundraising Dinner & Auction April 28, 2012
We're gearing for our largest fundraiser ever. This year, Tavon supporters will fill the Mountaineers Club in Seattle for an evening of food, fun, and fundraising. One attendee of our 2010 auction said, "I love this event. I look forward to it every year because it is one of the most fun and well-organized auctions I've attended. Plus, it feels close-knit, yet welcoming, and is an amazing opportunity to support a grass-roots cause that is growing locally."
